This is SO yesterday!
Italy's BNI declares a Bank Holiday.
- Read: Depositors (shmucks like you and I) cannot make payments against their accounts...no withdrawals, no tax payments, no payments of ANY kind (utilities, etc.) ...NO MONEY!
Whooosh! Evaporated!!
- What would YOU do with your Bank closed, the ATM closed, the credit/debit cards not working, and NO cash on hand? It will get ugly, early.
This has happened before. Northern Rock in the UK in 2007. IndyMac in California in 2008. (Ignore the recent lessons of Argentina.)
