Controversy is swirling
around PS 90 in Brooklyn, New York where the school principal Greta
Hawkins is removing the song "Proud to be an American" by Lee Greenwood
from the kindergarten moving-up ceremony.
The reason according to
Hawkins is that the lyrics are too grown-up and that the school doesn't
want to offend those from other countries.
This patriotic song is being
banned as inappropriate although the song "Baby" by Justin Bieber is being
allowed. Is there more to this story than meets the eye?
