This week the Torah portion (parshah) that Jews in the Diaspora will be reading and studying is Shelach, the story of Moses and the twelve spies. I think it sheds light on the nature of the struggle Jews have been fighting within and our external struggle to beat back the forces that would deny our right to the Land of Israel. And it also transmits the true meaning of an original Jewish idea that is often distorted by the Left - Tikkun Olam, repairing the world
Here’s a good rabbi’s exegesis on Shelach. It should be of interest to Jews and our gentile friends alike.
