Our Ivy League diplomatic corps is taught to button their suit jackets when they stand up, which serves them well at embassy dinner parties. 'If US cuts aid to Egypt, we'll alter Israel peace deal'
Senior Muslim Brotherhood official Essam El-Erian tells 'Al Hayat' if the US cuts aid to Egypt, it would be violation of 1979 peace accords; poll finds 7 in 10 Egyptians want to cut off US assistance.
US aid to Egypt is guaranteed by the Camp David Accords and stopping it would be a violation of that treaty, a high-ranking Muslim Brotherhood lawmaker said Sunday.
