About butcher boy in ogden UT. Which is but a couple hundred miles from where I live. And whee I live this is almost a normal occurance. Though most do find an out of the way place to perform such. GAWD knows it really is a mess if killed onsite.

"A REPLY IS BEST BY SATIRE: Oh Yeah, people shouldn't be Grilling steak or Chicken in a tailgate party either. God that's soo barbaric!! Just bring some beef jerky or imitation bacon. There should be huge police revenue generating fines for people who dare cook or prepare food outdoors. Double for Hawaiian Pig BBQ smokeouts. No big kitchen knives should be seen outdoors when even slicing vegetables, that's so Conan!! Any type of hunting/fishing/foraging for food should be banned! Never clean fish outdoors. Must always be done in a private environment.
DOSE OF REALITY: When you and your kids are fighting over roadkill when the 320 million Amerikans are re-introduced to the wild after the currency collapse, you're not going to be thinking twice about where you get food or how it's prepared, your just going to be scarfing it down. Cannibalism might be on the menu for those who haven't prepared. They did it in Jerusalem when the Romans came circa A.D. 70 to their own kids, don't think it wouldn't happen here.
The neighbors should have brought their kids over and learned a thing or two about how to butcher a cow. It would have been the best educational experience a parent could give their kids. That way they know how to fend for themselves, what things are, and why not to waste.
Want to get really grossed out, take the kids to watch how McDonalds 'prepares' your McNuggets. Show them how they poison the meat with ammonia to kill the bacteria, then add harmful food coloring to make it look like meat again. You'll never eat there again."
The mass preparation of our foods is not a place most would be comfortable in, especially the livestock production facilities. But they are what they are. My only problem with this feller in the article is that his beef will not be aged, Probably, who knows he might have a garage cooler.
