No sooner does Obama throw Mubarak under the camel and Egypt’s Sinai is in play. According to this report from Israel’s Hayom newspaper, “Egyptian security sources [say] the new government in Cairo is losing control over part of the peninsula.” Hayom goes on to quote Uzi Landau Israel’s Infrastructure Minister as saying, “From the economic perspective, the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt is crumbling,”
Wait, there’s more! Just what the world needs, Greater Gaza. The Elder of Ziyon blog sees it this way: Egypt’s “Islamists are trying to create a regime adjacent to Hamastan in Gaza.”
And I see it this way: Après le printemps arabe le déluge. It’s raining cats and dogs already.
