The WSJ reports that now Iraq has joined the Arab uprising sweeping the Middle East. That’s right, the people we fought and died for in order to give them a democracy are using their democracy to rise up against it. In turn, Iraq’s democratic” government is employing many of the same repressive techniques that we’ve seen in Libya, Egypt and Iran. The whole thing is almost too much irony for my system to stand. df
