I read this yesterday (Mark Steyn is one of the few who make any sense to me these days) and decided to watch the old film "Zulu" and chew this over...
I conclude that the end of the Anglosphere is not something to desire or look forward to.
- No, not because of the film ref'd infra...but because human history is what it is, and the reversion to the mean from the idealistic heights of liberty will result in massive human misery and slavery.
Mark squarely hits the nail on the head here, as did YOU by noting it's significance and import. What WOULD the world look like today if Canada instead of China or Fwance had taken a seat on the UN [read: today's Useless Nitwits] Security Council instead?
