I gather it's become a widespread nickname around Shepherds Bush since the CSR transferred the World Service budget from the FCO onto the licence fee payer!
The licence fee is essentially a poll tax. Why is Mr *unt sending hard pressed british lone parents to prision to pay for a Persian language service that they can't even understand?
All in favour of the WS, but it is a tool of diplomacy, not a domestic service.
