Regarding the pic of the B-1Bs: This is taken at Ellsworth AFB, SD. The high point on the horizon in the background (on the right hand side) is the summit of Harney Peak, where I proposed to my wife in 1994.
We see (or hear) these guys almost every day. Aircraft in flight has a targeting pod on its ventral side; nose gear door is closing. He's probably doing touch-and-goes. Sometimes I will watch this type of activity from Cabela's parking lot when I'm over there.
I have read that B-1Bs are the loudest aircraft in the inventory. I regularly hear them taking off from the house. We live 22 miles WSW of the base. Thrust augmentation is the sound of freedom.

There is a theme here Theo. You could title this collection "Just Chillin."
Although the lower left could make me melt.
