saco defense actually had a single-shot rifle that fired 40mm HV grenades.the original plan was to use a laser-guided grenade that didn't end up getting produced.
M203 FTW!!! standard 40mm grenade launcher that can be installed on an M-16, and AFAIK, an M-4. been in the system since Viet Nam, as a replacement for the M-79.
