If there *are* moderate Muslims as you suggest, then they should be quite tolerant and understanding of a few individuals exercising their right to burn a book on the anniversary of 9-11. But if a harmless symbolic act makes such a difference in their perception of either the West or of Christianity, then I have to question the whole concept of a "moderate Muslim" in the fist place. I can't think of a better test to see what's really in their hearts.

Which explains, from a military point of view, why some strategists are professionals and others are turned to pasture.

Every kindness and tolerance shown by us is - in their eyes - a sign of weakness. Every failure to respond to evil, in their eyes, a sign of fear. Weakness and fear are provocative. Like hyenas they watch and sniff and pick-off the easy.

AS SOMEONE OFFICIALLY MARKED BY DEATH BY THE WORDS OF THAT UNHOLY PIECE OF GARBAGE, I've got matches. What, burning their garbage is going to make them hate me even more?

Got marshmallows?
