Hmm,times change - wouldn't do it myself,but being allergic to furry animals,couldn't give the proverbial rat's ass about it. I had an uncle who,in 1930's rural Scotland,was the family member regularly deputed for farmyard surplus kitten and puppy disposal.Drowning them was just what you did - tho' I think he may have enjoyed it too.

Fascinating!! - I've rarely read such hysterical nonsense about such a trivial occurence - I commented earlier about this and its utter normality 50 or so years back,and I think your readers have been deeply subverted by the zeitgeist - she's probably only smiling because someone's filming and she's never been on video before,but fact is,it's a routine task writ large - why don't these people get outraged about important stuff?
