Welcome to New Zealand. (leave your daughter at home if you visit)

Seriously I love my country but some days I just wish most of the people in it would piss off and never come back because its not the place I grew up in.

Where is Richard George Apperley?

Why would you want to know? Possibly because he raped and sodomised a 15 year old girl and the sensible sentancing trust currently have him listed as: “Current Location:unknown “. And hes evidently been kicking about free in the community for four years.

We have a serious problem with youth violence, armed crime, child abuse and sexual crimes. If you visit keep this in mind, the secnery is pretty but some of the people are one step out the jungle, and its not a big step at that.

All societies have violence, but good societies punish offenders. Keep speaking out, that is the first step.

Listen, I'm pretty sure with the right publicity that at least 2 million conservative Californians would be willing to immigrate there and become citizens. Electing the proper "transformative" pols at that point would be a piece of cake.

Murray,
Sorry to hear of that state of affairs. We here in the US often fantasize about packing up and settling in OZ. I understand the gun laws are reasonable.

Seems there may be a need for a higher price paid for the type of behavior you describe above.

Cheers from SoCal

So sad to hear your comment re NZ. In 1969 I got out of the Marines and headed to NZ and Australia. I hitch hiked around NZ for 3 months and was overwhelmed by the beauty and especially the friendly people.
10 years later I returned with my wife for our honeymoon. Things had already started to change and not for the better. The same observations can be made of the US, unfortunately.

Exactly. And just about everybody here is in denial about the cause of the problems.
