Commenting on the Shell well drilling video! Having worked in the industry as a instrument technician in refinerey operations, BP's track record of cutting corners in design and safety is a major question! It wasn't that long ago they had a major accident at one of their gulf facilities! Cost cutting and doing things more cost effective seems to be a major concern of BP's, to the point where it leads you to believe that BP, is willing to accept accidents as a cost of doing business! This I'm sure will cost them dearly before this is over! Government regulations and regulators rarely have an idea or give the impression that they really understand this industry! Most reactions are knee jerk and wasteful!
