Grassroots conundrum: "party unity" or principles?

Tea parties across the US are starting to learn the realities of political life after the primaries. In this grassroots conundrum they have to suffer the sight of their tea party favorites appearing with many of the politicians that they set out to cull. Now that these candidates have gotten the nomination they become part of the party “establishment” and business as usual returns.

Cut em loose. Let em join the Cull.

Once the opportunists turn themselves out as such, get shed of them.

Our politicals are very adept at saying what they think needs be said to get what they want. And, they're very good at saying opposites to different groups when the focus group say's it'd be bene.

No name is so important that it should be allowed to stand above principle at this time. Otherwise, wtf is the point?

Also, the drive can't be for party victory uber alles. The GOP is a do nothing, say anything, stand for nothing, "big tent" meaninglessness.

This is our last chance to avoid a civil war. Either the TEA Party Movement demonstrates that the system can be brought back inline with our foundation document or it's all over but the shooting.
