White on black {or ANY light on dark} is, for me personally, hard on my eyes .................. the 'blur factor', for whatever reason, is heightened ...................

White on black is unreadable. It makes my head hurt.
Why change? Have you got too much time on your hands???
I like the the black background, it seems to make the images more vivid. That's the only change I noticed are there others?
Maybe try an off white background to reduce intensity yet maintain contrast with images and text...#eee or in that area....just light gray tint????
I was glad to see it back to white. I know that may be hard to believe with the myriad of colors I use on ISUCKATGOLF.NET , but this looks better. If you really wanted to try adding color, which I don't think you really need, I think you "could" make the background the same red as the color of your banner. (not the content background, but the sides. If you need to know the exact color of the banner let me know and I'll give you the code to try it if you wanted. But I like it as it is I think. But sometimes change is good, except for Obama of course.
A white background is better on the eyes. Drudge experimented on this a decade ago, and found that a white background is better. Google's background is white for the same reason, and they are not going to change.
Site looks good but need more pics of hawt women and guns....
I personally like it like it is. Easy to read and enjoyable. Your site is about content, not the look IMHO.
The colors are cool, I just don't get the "You might like" stuff.

The great Nathanael Herreshoff said that the only two colours to paint a yacht was either black or white and only an idiot would paint one black. Same goes here.
