R. Emmett "Mickey" Tyrrell Wrote a Book: After the Hangover, The Conservatives Road to Recovery

Doesn't like the Buckley kid.

"In After the Hangover, R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr. serves up an insightful and delightful exploration of the past, present, and future of American conservatism – or what he terms “America’s longest dying political philosophy.” And he sees a bright future."

Tyrrell turned into a crushing bore.

His early book "Public Nuisances" is a rhetorical triumph however, a modern Mencken for that moment.

I'd say he switched genres to one he's no good at.
