Jessica Watson has circumnavigated the globe, thats a simple physical fact.
The body that is trying to deny this is a sporting organisation and as such has no actual authority to deny established facts.
Secondly it does not acknowledge any achievments by any "sportsperson" under the age of 18 and consequently by its own rules has not authority over a 16 year old.
Thirdly shes Australian and down this way we don't take that sort of crap thanks.
I dare anyone to rock up to her welcome home party and say she didn't just sail around the world.
This is a serious case of sour grapes and frankly we should be encouraging enterprise and excellence from young people, not wrapping them in the cotton wool of mediocrity.
