My Review: I was dreading this series as I thought David Tennant was brilliant. Having just watched it, I am impressed and it is going to be well worth watching the next few episodes to see how it goes.

I am anxiously awaiting the new Doctor. I had never seen Doctor Who in any incarnation until November of 09. I actually bought the four season box set in December.
I hope he isn't terrible, David Tennant was so good.
I hated it!I have watched Dr Who from the start and thought David Tennant was the best Dr of all of the Dr's and dont think i will watch this one.
AJ: Saw the trailer for the series there are Spitfires v Space ships, cybermen and daleks. Will give it a chance
Brilliant! Fantastic! Molto Bene!
My worries are gone. I think the new doctor will do just fine. He's completely mad. Not the same as David Tennants doctor, but they never are, are they?
I am excited to see the rest of the season. Steven Moffat was my favorite writer for the series so far, and he didn't disappoint with this episode.
Looks like a great team! The teasers make me want to follow along to see where the ride leads.
I think Tom Baker was the best of the "Dr's". David Tennant was just behind Tom Baker in My book. David Tennant left some very big shoes to fill, After watching the full episode I think the new Dr will be able to handle the job.
And love his new assistant.
Ok I haven't watched Dr. Who since Tom Baker. But I have to say I liked this episode. I may just give it a try.
New series comes to US starting April 17th. Hoping it turns out ok.
Fav Dr's:
Tom Baker
David Tennant
Peter Cushing (movie 'The Daleks')
Fav Companions:
Leela (Louise Jameson)
Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen)
K-9
Every episode could use more Leela (just saying).
Review after watching video: This looks promising, and consistent with previous incarnations.
Promising indeed.
Steampunk Tardis
I've been watching the good Doctor since the late 70's. The Tom Baker/Lalla Ward combo was one of my favorites especially the Jagerroth (sp) episode.
Anyway, after watching this, I'm still hooked.
The only classic Doctor I ever watched was Baker. I expected the worst from Eccleston, and was blown away by his incredible portrayal. I was fearing the worst when Tennant was cast as his replacement, but Tennant was incredible; maybe even my favorite.
This episode with Smith has not disappointed. He has the unenviable task of following perhaps the most popular Doctor ever. I have a feeling once I get used to him I will enjoy the journeys that he and his companion will surely have as much as I did the last incarnation. Heck, I watch Doctor Who more for the villains anyway...
