WHY MEN SHOULDN'T WRITE ADVICE COLUMNS

He certainly should not be giving advice to a woman. By making assumptions, namely that she would look at the problem the same way he does, he fails to start with the most basic obvious question.

"Does the fuel gauge read E for Empty?"

A modern sensitive man should try to look at the problem in a way that the woman will understand. A reminder of how much better she would have felt if she had used a cell phone to call her husband for help would also probably be more welcome.
