"The result of the hit on a fully armed tank is spectacular...."

Makes one think that maybe the demonstration was a little staged? Still it was a spectacular event with the ammunition cooking off inside the compartment. Makes me wonder what other charges they had stored int here to spice up the demo a bit.... Hmmmm... Maybe the manufacturer took a page from a Hollywood special effects instruction manual, eh?

I can't ID the tank from the video but it does look kinda like the ammunition storage protection features were disabled.

I'll venture it's the German (OK West German when it was made) Leo I based on the cupola, turret shape and apparent traction aids on the front slope.

Armor Master Gunners are welcome to flay me alive and send me back to take exam 4 again. Armor aficionados just get to point out where I'm wrong.

Generally speaking it takes twenty-four hours for a tank to finish burning.
