The contract for more has been cancelled. The Chinese ballistic missile threat to shipping is forcing the USN to spend its money upgrading its Aegis cruisers/destroyers to antimissile capability.
A ship designed for a role the US Navy didn't want, doesn't want, and isn't prepared for. A ship the size of a cruiser to do the job any sane country would use a PT boat or corvette to perform.
Brilliant engineering, but IMO the wrong design for the job.

It looks like it's all set for a mission. At least, that's what I gather from the graphics.
This program has been under constant attack from right left and center. John McCain hates them. I would not bet on seeing more then a handful built.
