Well, THIS kind of American not only recognizes Old Slab Sides, but owns one.
Nice a 1911A1 built buy Remington Rand in 1945 one of 85,126 built by them in that year.The marking on the slide ANAD is for the Anniston Army Depot Anniston Alabama.
