Yellowknife is one word, and it is in the Northwest Territories, Canada. Northwest is also one word. Yukon Territory is to the west, near Alaska.
The last pic of the fire rainbow has been around the net for a while and is not from Yellowknife according to this site: http://www.snopes.com/photos/natural/firerainbow.asp
The others could be from the Yellowknife area. The scenery, temperature and lights look right.
Teepees are not used much anymore, though one would think that they are common judging from the number of pictures on the web. I lived there for 8 years from the mid 80s to early 90s, but I don't recall any teepees. I lived in a house.
