Theo, You are off base on this; please go to the USGS and read their reports. The issue is the cost of recovery, not the quantity of oil. If you "Google" this topic, you'll find it discussed on forums etc, i.e. it isn't "new news" or a "hidden gem."
Have cropped it a bit. Still oil is oil and having some 'put aside' could come in handy.
