Question....

At work we are starting to get a shed load of spam e-mails. We have the full AVG anti virus thingy, but it isn't nailing the spam. What is the best freeware anti spam program going?

Malwarebytes is a good freeware program but I use it and Spysweeper from Webroot which is a program I purchased.

With most freeware you get what you pay for and a lot of it says it's not for commercial use. We use Postini. You could just use gmail for email and be done with it. They bought Postini BTW.

I don't think malware/spyware programs will help with spam email.

Since I switched to gmail about a year ago, I haven't received a single spam mail.
(they are swept into a spam folder for review or auto-delete in 30 days)

Great blog - Cheers!

Gmail does it for me

If you're running your own mail server at work, ASSP is a good open source program because it blocks spam quite effectively at the server level. It does take a bit of technical expertise to implement.

If you have an outside email service, then look to the commenters above.
