During the Falklands War we used to refer to the islanders as "Bennies" after Benny from Coronation street - you know; woolly hat, not too bright ... The brass found out and issued an edict saying we weren't to use such offensive names. Months later someone asked why the islanders were "stills"; simple, we said ... because they were still Bennies. a rose by any other name ...
