Manufacturing gets more efficient over time.
Government jobs don't.
Even counting that, those are an awful lot of government jobs.
The Government Job growth rate almost exactly matches the population growth rate.
What the problem seems to be is that working class manufacturing job growth has stagnated or even declined over the same period.
