I've seen this on television - it's a great piece of engineering.I never knew that several meters of soil, rock, etc, was considered "over burden"...
Engineers call anything between the surface of the ground and the top of the vein of ore/coal "overburden."
I say send one of these to the Iraqi border and point it at Tehran...
Pah! For all its size and impressiveness it can still only function in soft rock and soil. For real rock you need EXPLOSIVES!
