Renault Dauphine, I think. The Floride was very pretty. Remember the early minicabs in London? Blue Dauphines - and then the Ford Cortina Mk1.

Beat me to it unsworth - Renault Dauphine, I'm pretty sure.
Ahh, the Cortina Mk1 with the pie slice tail-lights - my girlfriend's mum had one which I got to drive a lot - sweet gearbox - the Cortina that is!

Yes, the Dauphine didn't last very long - pretty though it was. I preferred the 8 Gordini. Used to see a fair number of them in Majorca - great for careering around the north side of the island.

Remember Jim Clark and the Lotus Cortina?

"Remember Jim Clark and the Lotus Cortina?"

Do I?! I remember Goodwood one Easter and he had a flat, and shortcut across the grass through the center of the circuit to the pits to get a change. Disqualified, but came back out and gave it his all for the crowd and the sheer love of it. We also had great duels between the Ford Galaxies and Minis - 'and he's eating Minis for breakfast!!! - until the next corner of course.

Happy days, ca 1964/5, and I saw a lot of days at Silverstone, Graham Hill being my hero. I wouldn't take a free ticket to F1 now - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
