Former New Zealand Herald Political cartoonist Malcolm Evans was awarded the Qantas Media Awards 2003 Cartoonist of the Year.
His work caused controversy and resulted in him leaving the Herald.
In this short film, Evans presents something of the cartoonists craft - and showcases his art along with many of the cartoons that the New Zealand Herald refused to publish.
You may not like some of his comments, but it is worth a look.

I am in exalted company today, he emailed me too and I also have posted.
Personally having viewed much of Evans work over the last 20 years I am not very comfortable with many of his efforts. Possibly, that is the whole point.
how many anti-Isreali cartoons did I see in that piece?
Putz comes to mind. Ignorant. Leftist.
A symptom of everything that is wrong with the west today...
Bryan, I see from your blog you are in the USA. Evans published a number of cartoons that were viewed by many in the Establishment down here in NZ as anti semitic. That is why he no longer draws for the NZ herald, the clip was produced by somebody sympathetic to him...
