A Westland Whirlwind I believe. Tje Whirlwind being the first twin engine single seat fighter and the first with all cannon armament. In RAF service by 1939.

I vote for the mosquito also.
The tail is wrong for a Mosquito or a Whirlwind. John's right. It's the Sea Hornet.
