Ooops don't tell the limp-wristed, limp-dick liberals....

Victory in Iraq. Now for Afghanistan. This War will not end until the Islamo-freaks are wiped out. It is not going to go away and until the liberal terrorist sympathising idiots get real we will be fighting a war on two fronts. I am not sure who the greater enemy is. Radical Islam or the liberals.

How would our current crop of journalists have reported WW2? Going by the record of much of the news media in Iraq and Afghanistan,I reckon they would have the Allies would have been losing and committing war-crimes until at least 1946.
The problem is groupthink, a reluctance to break the perceived consensus view of reality. Once groupthink is challenged, the herd moves in a different direction.

The primary difference between Iraq and WW II is that any journalist who printed stories similar to those printed about Iraq would have found himself in jail for sedition. Any congressman or senator who stated the war was lost would have first lost his job then lost his freedom very quietly but he'd be locked up for the duration. The fact is the reporters of the 40's were interested in reporting actual news not shaping policy. Today's so called news agencies aren't interested in who, what, when, where and how only in their own power to shape policy to their own political ends. In short the yellow journalism of the late 1800's was more accurate and better reporting than today and that was supposed to be the heyday of Yellow Journalism.
