Regarding the "Look at those gas prices" pic, at the time we were bemoaning that they'd never been so high, that we'd probably have to hock one of the kids to pay for it, that the economy was in ruins, that no one would ever be able to drive to a vacation spot again, that the cost of goods would immediately quintriple, that-
Well, you get the idea.
If America wasn't on the verge of economic collapse, the MSM would be downright bored.
