Armed forces 'get free education'. Too many of our troops have left the military with just a thank you. Now hopefully they will get the chance to have a second career because we owe them that. I am just wondering what will be hidden in the small print. This scheme should also be back dated to cover all those ex-servicemen who wish to take up the offer.

I disagree, actually. Raise the pay, if it comes to that. Why subsidize the too-subsidized universities even more? and if people have money instead they can do with it what's most valuable to them, instead of what's most valuable to university faculties.
Giving an incentive to leave is a Democrat ploy. The failure of the military is their fondest dream. Lure the volunteers out of the military, is the plan.
Post-WWII the GI Bill was a way to keep millions of suddenly unemployed men out of the job market. A side effect was the most educated workforce in the world, when the job market was ready to absorb them.
Military guys have lots of opportunities as it is. There's a great market for good character today.
A better idea. Give veterans 2 yrs credit for university classes. After 2 years in service they have a better education than any university. Graduate school, thats where you gradually learn you don't want to go to school. Besides all that, 2 years hard labor at learning how bad they had it in the military. 2 years of university is all the prof's can stand, being told your wrong. Thats what will happen. The soldiers will tell off those left wing prof's. I can see it now some solider will be in class when some idiot starts crying about global warming. He'll get up and walk out. Here is a better one. The student leaders call a protest of the military. I have no idea what they guy will say when he shows at the protest. But I have faith that it will be very whitty. I don't think the prof's can stand 2 yrs of walking breathing contridictions of everything they preach.
