I've recently read the book Jules refers to and it is a superb piece of writing.
Tried to leave a comment on Jules site but could not log in!
The picture of the Royal Scots Greys during their famous/infamous charge is one I've been trying to find for ages.
Recently saw a print in the front window of a charity shop of this action and went back two days later to buy it thinking it would still be there.
My wife thought I was daft and that no one else would want it. Got to the shop and it had been snapped up. And I was one of many people who had enquired about it!

Whatever happened to them?

They got combined with some wimpy Regiment. But that day at Waterloo was their Best Day!

"The regiment has its own Pipes and Drums, who tour widely and perform in competitions, concerts and parades. Their most famous piece is Amazing Grace, which reached number one in the charts ..."
