Actually, Corncorde is on an experimental aircraft carrier intended for mid atlantic refuelling. The French built it to British drawings but confused inches for centimetres.
Been there. About 20 mins walk from Times Square. A great museum. Downstairs the hangar is HUGE. Was a 9/11 exhibition in there when I went.....There's also a harrier on the deck,a tornado (I think), phantom....can crawl all over it !
ianp, don't worry there's seven preserved BA Concordes plus 002 at the FAA museum The fleet of seven Concordes are now preserved at the following sites: · Airbus UK, Filton Bristol, UK · Manchester Airport, UK* · Museum of Flight, near Edinburgh, UK* · Heathrow Airport, UK · The Museum of Flight, Seattle, USA · The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, New York, USA · Grantley Adams Airport, Bridgetown, Barbados* * preserved undercover
yep anonymouse and remittance man are right Concorde 101 is at Duxford and French Concorde 205 is at the Stephen F. Udvar-Hazy Centre of the Smithsonian National Air & Space* Museum next to Dulles Airport. Here's some reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concorde
* when opened it was found to be rather empty, disappointing and not a big crowd puller so they put aeroplanes and other stuff in it.

No, the Concord is on a reduced size British aircraft carrier. Budget cuts have to save money someplace after all the World is at peace.

The Concorde shows the BA colours on the tailplane.
I thought they were all broken up, they wouldn't even let us put one in a museum here in the UK, so how come the yanks have one....
Because they couldn't find a dumpster big enough?
Because Richard Branson changed his mind and decided he didn't want it?
Because John Travolta said he was having enough trouble keeping his Gloster Meteor running?

We have one at Dulles, VA It might be French.
Isn't there one at Duxford too? I seem to remember there was a bit of a rush getting it in before the M11 extension truncated the runway.
