John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6am.
While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA)was perking, he shaved with his electric razor(MADE IN HONG KONG).He put on a dress shirt(MADE IN SRI LANKA),designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE)and tennis shoes(MADE IN KOREA).
After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet(MADE IN INDIA)he sat down with his calculator(MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch(MADE IN TAIWAN)to the radio(MADE IN INDIA)he got in his car(MADE IN GERMANY)filled it with GAS(from Saudi Arabia)and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.
At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer(MADE IN MALAYSIA),Joe decided to relax for a while.
He put on his sandals(MADE IN BRAZIL)poured himself a glass of wine(MADE IN FRANCE)
and turned on his TV(MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA .

If you can't make it in America, your not trying.
This is the same thinking as the global warming alarmists.
Very good and true post. Wonder why the dollar is going down? Because companies are exporting jobs to other countries.
Need to take a look at history, Henry Ford was paying an outrageous $5.00 per day. How could he afford $5.00 per day, because he was really paying less his per unit cost of manufacture was less than any one else. And he made his own customers, and helped create the middle class.
Agreed with anonymous in that if you can't make it in America, don't even bother trying anywhere else. This is still the land of opportunity for those with guts and gumption. We have more than half of the world's millionaires and 30% of the world's GDP. Education is free and their is no class system to prevent the talented and hardworking from succeeding. I have been to countries where part of the population are still in the stone age, there is no industry, very little business and no opportunity for the next einstein or bill gates. Those are very tough places to break out of the crowd. Americans need to look around at the wealth of opportunity here. If you can't find a job, make your own...
