You cannot get this repartee from modern British politicians.
They don't have mistresses any more. Just Rent Boys, Aids from fucking the arrse of the British people for the past sixty years.

It wasn't Disraeli and Gladstone. It was an exchange between the Earl of Sandwich and John Wilkes, the 18th Century radical.

It was also not "an unspeakable disease" but "the pox".It would have been an odd jibe at the morally upright Gladstone.
