Nearly right Killem - it is a WW Greener made Martini action "POLICE GUN" made I think in the 20's, in "special bore" as marked on the breech, in reality a 14ga, for which brass cartidges were supplied. The theory was, as these were designed mainly for colonial use, that if the native ran away with the weapon, he would be unable to get ammo. However, a piece of card wrapped around a 16ga shell would work, so they designed more complicated cartridges on later Marks.
This one come from the Royal Barbados Police Force armoury, with the sling as seen, appears unused to all intents and purposes, with all bluing and colour hardening excellent, bore unmarked, and was probably in the prison armoury, before the prison was torched by inmates some years ago. It is stocked almost to the muzzle in good walnut (which you would pay for now!), and has a military type brass buttplate with trapdoor containing original brass oil bottle, as in issue .303 rifles.
