Hurricane-great fighter, stable gun platform. But for RJ Mitchell's Spitfire, it would have had more recognition. The Spit is sexier, but for us pretty is as pretty does types, this is cool !
Not by me it isn't. My old man flew one (he was lucky, he had a hard landing after being shot up, which left him with a limp and he was grounded). I grew up being pissed off hearing about them. Then I matured, read some history & sources, and understood.

Hurricanes were really the backbone of the Battle of Britain defence - and were more robust, too.
