It always amazes me that these brutes can get off the ground.
Years ago I was always fishing in the bays of southern New Jersey. There were near daily training flights of C-130s from one of the nearby bases. You'd hear their engines rumbling from miles away and then see this huge monster circle over the ocean and back at speeds that a bumble bee would be ashamed of posting. (Or at least it seemed that slow.) You kept imagining the pilot chanting, "I think I can. I think I can...."

Hell of an aircraft. I have quite a few parachute jumps from these. Not too comfy for long flights though.
