Brilliant colour photo: somewhere in the Pacific? The only Allied WW2night fighter specifically designed as such. Rather too late to be much use (too few targets) and replaced by two seat P-38Ms when available airframes from shortish production run time-expired.

P-61 Blackwidow had a crew of three 4 fixed 20 mm in the front with a remote control turret with 4 .50s. It got kills in both Pacific and Europe.
Could well be somewhere in France as well. They were used in the ETO as well as the PTO.
