Beware of socialism and nannystaters:

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ~ CS Lewis

The robber baron will only cut out your heart if he thinks he can make a buck on the deal. The nanny staters will do it because they have to always do something, and it's something to do.

Talk about nanny state. This sucks. I don't even smoke and don't like smoke around me and I'm offended.

From the BBC...
Smokers could be forced to pay £10 for a permit to buy tobacco if a government health advisory body gets its way.

No one would be able to buy cigarettes without the permit, under the idea proposed by Health England.
